PYP Primary Vice Principal

Principal Responsibilities
The Primary Principal is line-supervisor of the Primary Associate Principal.

His/her main responsibilities, are to assist the Primary Principal, include, but are not limited to, education, teaching, administration, human resource, students’ enrollment, budget, students’ management and parents’ communication of primary school under the supervisor of the Primary Principal and the Executive Principal. He/she is responsible for the education and teaching, administration, personnel, enrollment, budget and student management, parent communication and other comprehensive work of the primary school department. The Primary Associate Principal is responsible for assisting the principal with the implementation of work.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Underneath the supervising by the Primary Principal, the Primary Associate Principal is responsible for making primary overall development plan and supervising the plan to implement, building completely primary management system and operation process, and leading primary school’s innovation and the daily work based on the objective and requirement of school
  • Underneath the supervising by the Primary Principal, the Primary Associate Principal is responsible for development, implement and evaluation of the primary teaching curriculum to meet the dual both, the requirements of IB Curriculum and the Chinese National Curriculum
  • Be responsible for creating a safe, harmonious and positive study environment and providing sufficient space and opportunity for each student
  • Be responsible for students’ enrollment and retention and collaborating marketing and admission office to carry out enrollment advertisement and student’s interview evaluation
  • Be responsible for primary teachers training plan and generating and implementing all primary staff performance appraisals and teaching quality evaluation
  • To Assist the Primary Principal for positions and quantity of International manpower requisition, and collaborating with HR department to fulfill international teachers’ recruitment and management
  • To communicate with parents, to encourage parents to participate in school activities, and for getting more support and collaboration with parents by providing means for them to influence the education and teaching in the primary school
  • To Assist the Primary Principal for safety education and safety job in primary, implementing safety precaution safety accident reporting system and accountability system
  • To Assist the Primary Principal to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with other departments and keeping cooperation with other schools or public organization in terms of education, teaching and communication
  • To Assist the Primary Principal to make annual budget of primary school and supervise the fulfillment
  • To Assist the Primary Principal to manage and coordinating some urgent or serious top issues in primary school
  • Be responsible for other jobs assigned by executive principal and the school chairman

Qualifications and Requirements

Education RequiredBachelor
Additional School Requirements
  • Love K-12 education, be capable of updated management and education idea, can understand and accept multi-culture
  • 10 years or above working experience in education and at least 5 years working experience as a primary school principal 
  • Possessing a positive and passionate working attitude, easy to communicate and coordinate, be good at innovation and development, can work under pressure
  • M.A./M.Ed. or equivalent preferred
  • Overall knowledge of IB in school management is preferred
  • Understand Chinese culture with strong adaptability, fluent Chinese communication skill is highly preferred
