School Principal

The main role of the principal is to provide professional, highly effective leadership and management that will achieve outstanding results in all aspects of school life as well as promotes an inspiring vision and clear direction that is shared by all stakeholders in the school community. Principal will lead teachers and staff, set goals and ensure students meet their learning objectives. Overseeing your school’s day-to-day operations means handling disciplinary matters, managing a budget, and hiring teachers and other personnel.

Key accountabilities:

  • Work effectively with the school governance team to ensure informed and responsive decision making, which helps to direct change and effective management of school resources.
  • Evaluate teachers and other staff members to ensure that the standardized curriculum is adhered to and identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensure that the levels of students’ attainment and the quality of teaching successfully align with the National and International standards.
  • Discipline students according to school policy and enforce campus rules, such as the dress code and attendance policy.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and students to provide the best education for each student and assist them in their academic and professional goals.
  • Distribute leadership effectively to achieve high standards of learning and personal development by creating an ethos of collective responsibility and mutual support.
  • Participate in hiring, training and other employment activities for instructors and secondary staff members to create a dynamite team.
  • Lead professional development programs for staff and encourage instructors to attend regional conferences to maintain the best academic programs.
  • Oversee budgeting and grant proposals, and determine budget allocations for items such as supplies, materials, staff, and equipment.
  • Respond immediately to concerns from parents and school board administrators.
  • Work collaboratively with external bodies to achieve high performing results on school accreditations, inspections and evaluations.
  • Comply with all SPEA, KHDA, ADEK and Ministry of Education policies, procedures and guidelines.
