Qualifications and Requirements

Required Certificates
Teaching Credential/License
TESL/TEFL Diploma Level
Education RequiredBachelor
MajorEnglish / History
Additional School Requirements
  • Either TESOL certificate from reputable institutions, CELTA Certificate, or a Master’s degree in English Education (or equivalent)
  • Experience in teaching academic English to non-native speakers of English
  • Experience in teaching students between the ages of 16 to 20 (preferred)
  • Experience or a willingness to be meticulous in grading and providing comprehensive feedback on students’ work
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a proven track record in teaching English for Academic Purposes, especially in the NCUK IFY programme or national high school exam systems such as “A” levels
  • An understanding of UK-style education (preferred)
