Secondary School Science Teacher

Cambridge Worldwide Academy Tajikistan is a new British school in Dushanbe located in a state of the art purpose-built campus housing two Buildings: CWA Nursery-Primary and CWA Secondary. CWA offers a seamless education provision from nursery to the end of secondary education. CWA is the first British school in Tajikistan and enjoys excellent purpose-built facilities according to very high British standards. The primary school opened in late September 2018 and caters to preschool children aged 3 to 5 and primary pupils aged 6 to11. The secondary school will open in September 2019 and aims to provide outstanding education, focusing strongly on an engaging curriculum leading to Tajik- British dual qualifications.

CWA Tajikistan is inviting qualified secondary school teachers with experience in delivering and implementing the English national curriculum. 

 

Main purpose of the job:

  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all students in your class ensuring equality of opportunity for all
  • Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
  • Treat the students with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with the students, parents, guardians, other staff and external agencies to safeguard the best interests of the learners
  • Act within, the Tajik and English statutory frameworks, which set out professional duties and responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

Additional School Requirements
  • 2 years teaching experience in an international school offering Cambridge or English national curriculum leading to IGCSEs or A Levels

  • Experience of successfully co-ordinating or leading a secondary school curriculum area
  • Experience of preparing international students for GCSEs or A Levels
  • A clear understanding of the essential qualities necessary for improving the quality of learning and teaching
  • In depth knowledge of your curriculum/area
