SEN Teacher

To offer high quality and appropriate teaching support to students receiving additional support.
To effectively manage Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students receiving additional support for their learning and Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) where necessary.
To ensure IEPs and IBPs are reviewed termly and realistic but challenging targets are set on order to enable further progress to be made.
To work closely with parents for the benefit of their children, arranging regular meetings and reviews as required.
To assist parents with school transfer if necessary, by offering help, support and advice.
To work in partnership with the Year Leaders and Assistant Headteachers to ensure students meeting the criteria for various levels of support are assessed promptly and action taken as necessary.
To liaise on a regular basis with other Inclusion staff to ensure the smooth running of the department.
To assist the SENCO with assessment of new children who may be in need of additional support.

About the School

SRS is a BSO approved international school that provides a high quality education, meeting the needs of a diverse range of students. We deliver the British National and American Curriculum to an increasing population of 3000 plus students from FS to Year 13, leading to GCSE, IGCSE and AS/A2 qualifications. School of Research Science was founded in 1998 to provide a high quality education to the children of local Emirati families.
