Senior High Economics Teacher (LZCGS)

Performance Responsibilities:

  • To undertake a designated program of teaching economics across all key stages
  • Prepare and consistently deliver high quality lessons
  • Be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in economics
  • Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, handouts and examinations
  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers
  • Keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences
  • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records
  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students
  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers
  • Respect, appreciate and understand differences in learning and school culture
  • Participate in a culture of professional learning
  • Be accountable and a positive advocate for all management decisions
  • Attend staff meetings, teacher workdays and recommended professional development activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Head of Department

About Lanzhou Country Garden School:

Lanzhou Country Garden School (LZCGS; Chinese: 兰州碧桂园学校), is a private co-ed boarding school in Chengguan District, Lanzhou, Gansu Province in the People's Republic of China. LZCGS has a campus area of 237 acres and a gymnasium equipped with two indoor swimming pools and a variety of sports facilities. The school has around 500 students enrolled, with nearly 100 full-time teaching staff plus non-teaching of approximately the same number. LZCGS was founded in 2016 as one of the international schools managed by the Bright Scholar Education Group. LZCGS now offers Cambridge IGCSE and A Level, as well as Chinese National Curriculum to its students. The school is also applying to implement IB programmes.

Job Benefits
