The International School of Geneva offers an Initial Teacher Training Course which allows achieving a postgraduate qualification (PGCE International) and IB Certificate in Teaching and Learning through a collaborative partnership with Durham University. The program runs each year in Geneva at Campus des Nations and is undertaken by trainees accepted onto the course by Durham University who wish to train to teach primary or secondary students in an international context.
To complete our team, we are looking for a:
Teacher Trainer
Full-time – 40 Hours
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the professional training team to plan and deliver workshops for the Initial Teacher Education Programme
- Facilitate professional workshops delivered by external and internal speakers
- Hold bi-weekly tutorial meetings with trainee teachers
- Participate in mentor training sessions
- Conduct formal lesson observations of trainee teachers during school placements
- Participate in final tutorials for trainees
- Provide feedback on Professional Module Final Standard Portfolios.
