Upper Elementary Teacher

This is an Upper Elementary position for either Grade 4 or 5 or 6.  The exact grade level has not been decided yet. The Teacher is responsible for all aspects of teaching of all subjects with an emphasis on English, Language Arts and Literacy, though they will also be be teaching Science, Social Studies and Math reinforcement.

 

This position has two sections of upper elementary students. When the group is not with the English teacher, they move to the Spanish classroom. There are approximately 22-25 per class. They will teach approximately 35 out of 40 periods per week. The Teacher is required to attend grade level meetings, do recess duty and attend meetings afterschool occasionally.
