Upper School Educational Internship

The International School of Stuttgart is a non-profit Kindergarten through 12th grade, CIS and NEASC accredited, IB World School offering an international curriculum to a student body of about 820 from over 30 nations. Among its strengths are its student-centered and holistic approach to learning and its commitment to professional development and emphasis on student pastoral care.    
 
ISS is looking to hire a fulltime (40 hours/week) Educational Intern at ISS To commence in July 2019
 
 
The Educational Intern (ISS Upper School, Degerloch campus) is expected to work in the following fields:  

  • Substitute Teaching 
  • Teaching Assistance 
  • Working with individual students who could gain from one-to-one contact but do not require specific instruction 
  • Student management outside of class time duties (e.g. playground and lunch duties)
  • Supervision of Homework Club 
  • Field Trip support 
  • Duke of Edinburgh expeditions
  • Chaperone varsity sports events  
  • Contributing individual areas of expertise (computer skills, sports, outdoor activities, love of books … etc.) to strengthen the learning opportunities in school life
