US Section Assessment Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Implement an overarching plan to ensure that assessment is consistent, rigorous and complies with all KHDA requirements
  • Working with Heads of Faculty/Subject Leaders ensure that all assessment is aligned to Massachusetts Standards/CCLS
  • Undertake data analysis at key points during the year – reporting to AP in first instance
  • Support and challenge Heads of Faculty/Subject Leaders with data analysis, ensuring that questions raised by the data are addressed
  • Ensure that all arrangements for external testing – MAP, PSATs, SATs and EmSATs, as well as AP assessments – are in place and robust
  • Ensure that Heads of Faculty/Subject Leaders properly prepare students for the external assessments
  • Ensure that internal assessments are rigorous and standards-aligned
  • Ensure that data is submitted and reviewed regularly by teachers at all levels
  • Assist/support teachers in tracking and utilizing assessment data to inform teaching and learning
  • Ensure that parents receive accurate reports in line with the published school calendar
  • Provide reports on progress and attainment to colleagues at all levels when required
  • Ensure National Agenda targets are integral to the US Curriculum

Additional School Requirements
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Current U.S. teacher license/certification in the appropriate subject matter
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Applications (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of successful teaching experience
  • Experience in standards-based instruction and teaching using Common Core and/or Next Generation Science Standards for Mathematics, ELA, and Science teachers
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the school committee may find appropriate and acceptable
