Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our passionate team of educators. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners, instilling a love for learning and facilitating their growth in a stimulating and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: As a Spanish Teacher at Ruh Continuum School, you will:
Curriculum Delivery:
- Implement the Cambridge Pathway and IB curriculum creatively and engagingly.
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's educational goals and standards.
- Foster a love for learning by creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment.
Classroom Management:
- Establish a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Manage classroom behavior and address any disciplinary issues fairly and consistently.
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Student Assessment:
- Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Track and analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions as needed.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic and behavioral developments.
Parent and Community Engagement:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians through regular meetings, newsletters, and conferences.
- Participate in school events and community activities to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration.
Professional Development:
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on educational trends, teaching methodologies, and curriculum enhancements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a supportive and innovative teaching community.
Positive Disciplining and Constructive Language Approach:
- Implement positive disciplining strategies that promote a nurturing and respectful classroom environment.
- Utilize constructive language and communication techniques to guide and redirect student behavior.
- Encourage self-awareness and self-regulation among students, helping them develop essential life skills.
- Model and teach conflict resolution techniques that emphasize empathy and compromise.
