Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our passionate team of educators. Key Responsibilities: As a Spanish Teacher at Ruh Continuum School, you will:

Curriculum Delivery:

  • Implement the Cambridge Pathway and IB curriculum creatively and engagingly.
  • Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's educational goals and standards.
  • Foster a love for learning by creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment.

Classroom Management:

  • Establish a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Manage classroom behavior and address any disciplinary issues fairly and consistently.
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Student Assessment:

  • Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.
  • Track and analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions as needed.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic and behavioral developments.

Parent and Community Engagement:

  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians through regular meetings, newsletters, and conferences.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on educational trends, teaching methodologies, and curriculum enhancements.

Positive Disciplining and Constructive Language Approach:

  • Implement positive disciplining strategies that promote a nurturing and respectful classroom environment.
  • Utilize constructive language and communication techniques to guide and redirect student behavior.
  • Encourage self-awareness and self-regulation among students, helping them develop essential life skills.
  • Model and teach conflict resolution techniques that emphasize empathy and compromise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education/ Spanish Language or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 
  • A degree or certification in Child Psychology is a plus.
  • Valid teaching certification.
  • Advanced Language Proficiency in Spanish | Native Speaker
  • Previous experience teaching in a primary or elementary school setting.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge Pathway and IB curriculum is a plus.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential.
