About Foundation Steps Canadian International School

Foundation Steps Canadian International School enrolls students from 1 years old to Gr. 12.   FSCIS is the 2nd Canadian Intenational School in Africa after Ghana. We hold a partnership with the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board as from February 2014.   The program is unique as no other private school offers the Canadian Program with the inclusion of Special Needs students in the classes.    The school also offers: Music, Drama, P.E., Karate, French, Art&Craft, Cookery.   Our staff: local and Indian nationals (Total: 13)   Number of students: Upper Nursery (4 yrs old): 15  Grade 1 (6 yrs old): 12 Grade 2 (7 yrs old): 4 Grade 3 (8 yrs old): 4 Grade 4 (9 yrs old): 1 Grade 7 (12 yrs old): 1 Grade 8 (13 yrs old): 3   Location: Ndola (Zambia) the tird largest city in Zambia Major attractions: Victoria Falls in Livingstone ( one of the seven wonders in the world ), Game Parks, Tiger Fishing, Safaris, Hot Springs to name a few.   Weather: warm, hot, cool, chilly and pleasant We are hiring: >1 Ontario Certified Primary School Teacher preferably with Special Needs Education To teach and instruct the Primary Classes (Litearacy) and coordinate Math,Science,Social Studies.   Position available from: September 2015   Contract validity: 11 months Possibility of renewal or extension    >1 Ontario Certified High School Teacher preferably with Special Needs Education.
