Current U.S. teacher license/certification in the appropriate subject matter
Computer skills including Microsoft Applications (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Evidence of successful teaching experience
Experience in standards-based instruction and teaching using Common Core and/or Next Generation Science Standards for Mathematics, ELA, and Science teachers
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the school committee may find appropriate and acceptable
Responsibilities
Implement an overarching plan to ensure that assessment is consistent, rigorous and complies with all KHDA requirements
Working with Heads of Faculty/Subject Leaders ensure that all assessment is aligned to Massachusetts Standards/CCLS
Undertake data analysis at key points during the year – reporting to AP in first instance
Support and challenge Heads of Faculty/Subject Leaders with data analysis, ensuring that questions raised by the data are addressed
Ensure that all arrangements for external testing – MAP, PSATs, SATs and EmSATs, as well as AP assessments – are in place and robust
Ensure that Heads of Faculty/Subject Leaders properly prepare students for the external assessments
Ensure that internal assessments are rigorous and standards-aligned
Ensure that data is submitted and reviewed regularly by teachers at all levels
Assist/support teachers in tracking and utilizing assessment data to inform teaching and learning
Ensure that parents receive accurate reports in line with the published school calendar
Provide reports on progress and attainment to colleagues at all levels when required
Ensure National Agenda targets are integral to the US Curriculum
