Job Description:

Puntacana International School is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary School Teacher to join our team for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality instruction aligned with the USA Common Core State Standards, while nurturing a supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver comprehensive lessons in core subjects including english language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students
Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance the learning experience
Foster students’ social-emotional development through positive classroom management and community-building
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support student growth and school-wide goals
Communicate effectively with parents to ensure strong school-home partnerships
Maintain a caring, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required)
Valid teaching license and/or elementary teaching certification
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the elementary level
Strong understanding of the Common Core State Standards and developmentally appropriate practices
Experience in an international or multicultural educational setting (preferred)
