THE GULF ENGLISH SCHOOL was founded in 1980. The school offers outstanding education for students from pre-school to ‘A’-level. There are 1830 students enrolled of whom the majority are Kuwaiti nationals; around 37 nationalities are represented in the school.
CURRICULUM The School follows the requirements of the National Curriculum - modified in places - and is similar to independent schools in England. Teacher assessment and target setting are used extensively throughout the primary school. All textbooks and reading schemes are bought from the UK – as is most teaching equipment. Specialists are employed in Primary classes for P.E., Music, ICT, ESL and Arabic and Islamic studies (Muslim pupils only).
