  • Ability to use special equipment and facilities, such as audio-visual materials and technology to make lessons more interactive.
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Ability to detect any background issues and be able to tackle them before they manifest into something bigger.
  • Awareness of current trends and developments in special education.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of professional practice and to the development of a school culture based on collaboration between principals, teachers, parents, and students.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and an ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English.
  • Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with a variety of intervention strategies to promote student success in the classroom.
  • Ability to create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
