Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality classroom cover across the primary school as required, ensuring continuity of learning and student engagement.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in accordance with the UK National Curriculum and IPC frameworks.
  • Manage the classroom effectively, maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support individual student needs, including those with EAL, SEND, and high potential.
  • Use digital tools to support and enhance learning when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with class teachers, year leaders, and specialist staff to ensure consistency and cohesion in teaching.
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and whole-school activities where required.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • A UK PGCE, QTS, or an internationally recognised teaching qualification.
  • A minimum of two years’ teaching experience with primary-aged students.
  • Solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum and inquiry-based learning.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
  • Experience teaching in diverse, multicultural settings.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in UK independent or international schools.
  • Familiarity with the IPC framework.
  • Confident use of Apple technology and digital learning platforms.
  • Experience stepping into various year groups with flexibility and confidence.
