Our nano school of 65 students has grown just enough to create 1 additional high school class for every subject!

The teacher must be able to teach 1 class of AP English, and the rest of the position has to be filled with teaching Music and/or PE & Activities and/or Computer Science & ICT and/or 1 class of Spanish.

To make this a full-time position, we are seeking an elusive unicorn -- an experienced and highly professional teacher who can deliver the following or some similar variation of subjects:

  • AP & regular English Language & Composition
  • PE and Athletic & Activities Coordinator
  • Music PK-G8
  • HS Computer Science and ES & MS ICT;
  • A HS elective course (maybe drama, music, digital media, or journalism);
  • College Counseling.

Are you the unicorn we are looking for?  We hope so!  If you are married to an elementary teacher spouse we will be even more excited to hear from you!

The Gambia is amazing but requires teachers ready to live in an underdeveloped country. The country is known for its warmth and smiles. The school has supportive parents and a very warm, positive feeling. Despite all this wonderfulness, medical care is limited, the country is largely impoverished and undeveloped, and electricity, water, and basic infrastructure are often failing.  Tourism is the main income for the lovely beaches; products are largely imported and costs reflect that.

There is no minimum nor maximum age limit for teachers but we do look for experience with the American curriculum.
