Manor Hall International School seeks a dynamic and experienced AP Physics Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of physics concepts, a passion for teaching, and the ability to inspire and motivate high school students. The AP Physics Teacher will be responsible for delivering rigorous and engaging instruction, preparing students for the AP Physics exam, and fostering a love for science and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive AP Physics curriculum, including AP Physics 1 and/or AP Physics 2, through engaging and interactive teaching methods.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state standards and AP guidelines, ensuring alignment with school-wide educational goals.
- Design, administer, and grade assessments, including quizzes, tests, lab reports, and the AP exam preparation. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment conducive to learning, ensuring students are respectful and engaged.
- Offer additional support and tutoring for students needing extra help, including after-school sessions or office hours.
- Stay current with developments in physics education and AP curriculum updates. Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success. Participate in school committees and contribute to the school community.
- Supervise and facilitate hands-on lab experiments, ensuring student safety and reinforcing theoretical knowledge through practical application.
- Utilize technology to enhance learning experiences, including digital tools and online resources for remote or hybrid instruction.
