The Section Principal is a member of the leadership team of the school, who needs to be Bilingual and provide academic and technical services, pedagogical and curriculum expertise, aimed at strengthening teaching and learning and facilitating overall school administration. The Section Principal is responsible for the delivery of the academic program and related academic matters on campus.
- Coordinate with Al Ittihad Schools LMS (Schoology) developers to improve the platform and enhance its efficiency.
- Meet with technology providers to evaluate available resources and tools when applied and requested by the Head of Technology.
- Ensures that National UAE culture, heritage, principles, and values are an integral part of the teaching and interaction with students.
- Exercises leadership by taking personal responsibility for managing the teaching team.
- Promotes and models life-long learning for students, teachers, and other staff. Fosters a culture of high expectations for students, teachers and other staff.
- Provides leadership in teaching techniques, innovation, and class organization.
- Engages in professional learning and development.
- Observes teachers, holds follow-up conferences and maintains records on suggestions for needed improvement.
- Develops with individual teaching staff members a Professional Improvement Plan (PIP) when needed.
- Monitors students’ progress and provides teachers with a variety of techniques and strategies to assess student performance, assists in the review of the school program using both internal and external student learning data.
- Will assist in the creation of action plans designed to improve learning based on internal and external data.
- The Section Principal is involved with student discipline issues and is responsible for implementing the Values Learning Plan and behavioral matrix.
- The Section Principal will be responsible for the professional evaluation and coaching of faculty in conjunction with the principal.
