Colégio Diocesano de São José 6 (CDSJ6) is a co-educational Catholic secondary school in Macao SAR (China) looking to hire native-English speaking teachers to teach English.
Foreign teachers will work in collaboration with a highly-experienced and dedicated staff who will also help them adjust to life in Macao. Like their local full-time colleagues, they will teach up to 18 lessons a week and qualify for the professional development courses and educator privileges provided by the Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau. There will also be opportunities to lead extracurricular activities and elective courses.
A generous housing allowance of $6000 MOP/month (~$750 USD/month) and a government subsidy of $700-800 USD/month are provided in addition to the starting salary of $21,200 MOP/month (~$2,600 USD) paid on a 13-month schedule. A relocation subsidy and the first month's housing are also provided.
CDSJ6 currently serves 400 local students from Forms 1 through 6 (grades 7-12 in the US). It offers both a Chinese-medium section and an English-medium section together in a new campus in Ilha Verde, Macao. CDSJ6 is part of a network of independently-operated primary and secondary schools established in 1931 under the CSDJ name and provides a comprehensive educational experience with various clubs, extracurricular activities, and academic programs.
