A Long Service Bonus referred to as End of Employment (EOE) and is part of your Total Remuneration Package. It is calculated fortnightly on your Gross Fortnight Salary and accrues fortnightly. After an employee has completed their first year of contract they may access annually, 15% of Base Salary plus Long Service Bonus as Superannuation to be paid to the individuals Superannuation Fund. This will attract Tax Concessions.
Secure Fully furnished 2 or 3 bedroom (depending on need) accommodation is provided. Includes furniture, all white goods, TV, Cable TV access and Wifi.
The following utilities are paid for: Cooking Gas, Electricity & Water and Domestic help.
Annual Flights - to Home Location for Employee and accompanying dependents are provided
School Fees for your listed dependent children to attend an IEA school in PNG will be provided in accordance to the Terms and Conditions in force at the time.
The medical cover employees and accompanying dependents is primarily for cover in PNG Only. It is on a reimbursement basis and employees can claim 80% of cost. 20% of cost is borne by the employee.
We are currently seeking HOD ICT & Technology to join the Senior Leadership Team at school that provides local and international curriculum, including the IB Diploma, IGCSE and the Australian Capital Territory Year 12 to over 900 students from 15 countries in grades 7 to 12 in the nation’s capital.

- HOD IT
- HOD IT will teach the senior advanced IT groups in grade 11 & 12. This group is small in number (<20 usually). They will be following the ACT Tertiary IT course. However, there will be some in the group doing the IB Digital Societies as well as part of a dual Australian IB qualification and these will require extra time as the Australian IT programme is purely IT. The HOD will also teach IGCSE Information Technology
- The school has 5 fully networked IT Labs and all staff have laptops that are part of the school network. We employ a Network manager and Assistant and the HOD IT will work closely with them in maintaining and improving the network. The HOD IT is expected to provide advice to senior management with regard to network requirements, hardware and software purchasing as well as future directions for IT provision within the school to both staff and students. This may well involve in-servicing staff on use of IT to support their teaching.
- HOD IT is also in charge of the rest of the Technology Dept which includes Home Ec & Practical Skills/Design Tech
