The primary function of this position is to plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in compliance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines (65%); serve as mentor; observe and report on student interaction with children; provide feed back for grades; engage part-time staff, interns, and assigned practicum students as collaborative teachers and learners; participate in center planning, reflection, and professional development activities; maintains close and effective two-way communication with parents (25%); meet and maintain state licensing requirements for continuing education (10%).
