Job Description

St. Mary of the Mills School in Laurel, Maryland seeks a versatile, enthusiastic, and passionate Middle School English & Language Arts Teacher. The teacher will be responsible for instructing students in the English/Language Arts subject areas of literature, grammar, vocabulary, and writing using a standards-based curriculum. Strong candidates shall be a practicing Catholic who upholds the teaching of the faith and is committed to Catholic education that is academically rigorous and rooted in the Gospel values. Qualified candidates should be well-versed in teaching methods, inclusive of interactive whiteboard technology, have an infectious passion for Catholic education, and enjoy the prospect of teaching at a diverse Catholic school. Preference will be given to candidates who are state certified as well as Catechist certified or who can demonstrate the ability to achieve Maryland, D.C., or Virginia teacher certification and ADW Catechist certification within three years.

Job Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred

Bachelor degree preferred

Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
