BASIS Early Education Center Nanshan is seeking qualified candidates for a Pre-Kindergarten (Early Education) Teacher to start in August 2023!

BASIS Early Education Center Nanshan is a new campus in our network of schools, opening in 2023! It is located in Shenzhen, China. It is known for being the home of Shenzhen High-Tech Industrial Park, which comprises some of China's largest technology companies and the establishments of well-known international companies. It is also one of the nation's richest districts.

BASIS International teachers are knowledgeable, passionate, and believe in transforming education. As part of a uniquely collaborative and professional teaching community, BASIS International teachers motivate students to reach their highest potential, while also elevating their skills through peer collaboration and a culture where learning is of the greatest importance. Our Pre-Kindergarten classrooms are taught by two teachers--the lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher and an additional Pre-Kinder Teaching Fellow. The Pre-Kinder Teaching Fellow supports students' learning and supplements the lead teacher's instruction.

In a BASIS International Pre-Kindergarten teaching position, you will create a learning environment that is a joyful and rewarding experience, and children learn to become enthusiastic, life-long learners. The thematic, hands-on, and content-rich curriculum creates a foundation for children to build upon in the elementary grades. Our early education teachers are guided by the belief that any child can excel with the right support.

Primary Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lay foundations for the joy of learning to set students up for success with the challenging curriculum in the elementary grades.
Begin helping students develop skills of autonomy, responsibility, and independence.
Implementation of the BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments to display your passion for learning and educating students at an internationally competitive level.
Management of student behavior to foster academic achievement, personal responsibility, intellect, and individuality in all students.
Collaborate with other BASIS International teachers to form a community of smart, talented, and interesting people who are passionate about their work and readily willing to work in a professional, academic environment.

BASIS Early Education Center Nanshan is located in Shenzhen, China. It is known for being the home of Shenzhen High-Tech Industrial Park, which comprises some of China's largest technology companies and the establishments of well-known international companies, as well as being one of the nation's richest districts.

It is easy to get around town, as there are metro and bus lines all over just as there are in all areas of Shenzhen. The Chiwan neighborhood (with some of the district's main historic sites) is served by a free minibus which goes from Chiwan metro station past Tianhou Temple and the Tomb of the Young Song Emperor. It claims to operate every 20 minutes.
Nanshan is a very outgoing community, where international artist communities like to gather, has multiple amusement parks, historic sites, and more.

Nanshan district also includes Shekou, on metro line 2, the expat neighborhood with everything Western that you might be accustomed to as well as the main ferry terminal.
