Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Biology Teacher to teach students from Year 7 to Year 13, including IGCSE and A Level Biology. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that inspire students to explore the biological sciences, develop their scientific inquiry skills, and achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and teach high-quality Biology lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum.
- Instructional Excellence: Foster curiosity and critical thinking through inquiry-based and hands-on learning experiences.
- Assessment & Feedback: Design and administer formative and summative assessments; provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Differentiation: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
- Student Progress: Monitor and track academic performance, maintain accurate records, and support students in setting and achieving learning goals.
- Classroom Environment: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages active participation and respect.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Science Department to ensure curriculum alignment and consistent instructional practices.
- Co-Curricular Engagement: Contribute to science-related clubs, competitions, or enrichment activities to enhance student learning beyond the classroom.
- Parent & Community Communication: Maintain regular and transparent communication with parents regarding student progress and academic matters.
- Professional Development: Participate in school-wide training and continuous professional growth opportunities.
