Job Description
Invento International School (IUIS), an IB World School in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is seeking a passionate and qualified MYP Individuals & Societies and DP Economics Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be able to teach across the MYP and DP programs, guide students in developing strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and prepare them for academic success in examinations and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach MYP Individuals & Societies (Social Studies) and DP Economics, with the ability to contribute to World History as needed.
- Develop and update curriculum materials aligned with the IB MYP and DP frameworks.
- Plan and deliver inquiry-based lessons that encourage student engagement and independent thinking.
- Design and implement unit plans and assessment tools according to IB standards.
- Provide continuous feedback and academic support to students, including participation in the school’s academic support system and after-school study sessions.
- Use formative and summative assessment data to track progress and support student learning.
- Guide students with research skills, MLA citation, and Extended Essay supervision.
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning, interdisciplinary projects, and school events.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and model the attributes of the IB Learner Profile.
