Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in your teaching subject. Many of our teachers hold multiple advanced degrees in their field. For Elementary and Early Education positions, a degree in this or related field is acceptable and/or encouraged.
A minimum of two years of teaching experience as the lead teacher of record in a classroom. This is a requirement for you to obtain a working visa.
An eagerness and willingness to collaborate with and elevate teaching colleagues. Our teachers come from all over the world and bring a wide variety of curricular backgrounds and experiences. We seek to utilize this diversity to grow and learn from each other.
High academic standards and a desire to make a difference in the rigor of international education.

A qualified candidate should possess strong ICT-CS skills. A background in Technology/Design teaching is preferable as well as the following technical abilities:

Experience with block-based coding
Experience with 3D modeling software
Experience with robotics/electrical engineering (i.e., Arduino, micro: bit, LEGO EV3, etc.)
Productivity/multimedia – Office365/multimedia applications

Preferred: Subject matter postgraduate work (Master’s or Ph.D.) is preferred. Together with a high level of educational attainment, a successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills in teaching ideas, texts, and concepts with precision and confidence. Must be open to innovative ideas in teaching.

In a BASIS International Kindergarten teaching position, you will create a learning environment where learning is a joyful and rewarding experience, and children learn to become enthusiastic, life-long learners. Primary Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lay foundations for the joy of learning to set students up for success with the challenging curriculum in the elementary grades.
Begin helping students develop skills of autonomy, responsibility, and independence.
Implementation of the BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments to display your passion for learning and educating students at an internationally competitive level.
Management of student behavior to foster academic achievement, personal responsibility, intellect, and individuality in all students.
Collaborate with other BASIS International teachers to form a community of smart, talented, and interesting people who are passionate about their work and readily willing to work in a professional, academic environment.

About the School:

Overlooking the South China Sea's Xiaojing Bay, BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour is nestled in the hills of a master-planned beach community and offers numerous amenities and beautiful landscapes to explore. The campus opened in August 2018 to students in grades 5th-9th, and will expand each year until it offers courses through 12th grade. Park Lane Harbour is the second BASIS Curriculum School to offer boarding. The total boarding capacity is 800, with a total student capacity of 1,200.

The campus is in a peaceful location with top-notch facilities, including state of the art classrooms, a soccer field and track, gymnasium, basketball and tennis courts, indoor heated swimming pool, an expansive library, Apple computer lab, cafeteria, black-box theater, auditorium, and boarding facilities for students.
