We are seeking a Secondary Social Studies teacher to join English Modern School.
We follow the Cambridge International Curriculum. We use the Workshop model of teaching. We emphasize hands-on, inquiry-based instruction through cross-curricular and project-based units. We promote and emulate the Cambridge Learner Attributes. You would be part of the Humanities team. We are a small, family-oriented school where our teachers feel supported and appreciated.
Professional development is very important to us. We offer a subsidy towards a Master's degree from SUNY University. We also offer local and international professional development opportunities. We have a full-time curriculum coordinator that also offers ongoing professional development and support.
Since the school first opened in 1991, The English Modern School has flourished and developed to become a thriving and successful school. The school bases its teaching on the Cambridge International Programme tailored to meet the requirements of the host country and the needs of the students. The programme encourages the development of personal freedom and inner discipline in a well-ordered and structured system.
Our mission is to provide a challenging, internationally based education that nurtures lifelong learners in a multi-cultural setting.
Our vision is that all our students will reach their full potential to make a positive impact on their world.
