The following requirements are for all public school teaching jobs in Abu Dhabi offered through Teach Away Inc. In order to get the appropriate work permit and visa, teachers need to meet the following requirements:
Teachers in Abu Dhabi can expect to make between 12,300-20,400 AED, depending on teaching experience and credentials. The Ministry of Education in the UAE will inform successful teachers of their offered salaries after the interview. While exchange rates fluctuate, Abu Dhabi teachers typically make approximately $3,325-$5,515/month CAD, or $3,350-$5,500/month USD.

Teachers who are selected to teach in Abu Dhabi public schools through Teach Away receive round trip airfare for their spouse up to 3 dependants under 18. Teachers will also receive a yearly air ticket for themselves and their family in between the years of the contract.
Abu Dhabi public school teachers will enjoy ample vacation time, usually from mid-July to September of each year. In addition, teachers are not required to work during any of the national holidays.
All teachers working in public schools in Abu Dhabi will be provided with accommodations. Housing can be furnished or unfurnished. In the event that housing is unfurnished, a furniture allowance will be paid to candidates. The Education Council does its best to keep teachers' travel time within 45 minutes of their school (though this may be longer due to traffic and weather conditions). The Education Council will cover the costs for the accommodations provided, so teachers are able to save a substantial portion of their salaries.
