Teach English in China

China offers a great opporunity for those interested in teaching English and exploring China's facscinating culture. The English language market is growing fast, and many new positions are becoming available. Teachers should be careful when looking for a job on their own because contracts and responsibilities often change once the teacher arrives to their placement. For this reason, Teach Away carefully screens its partner schools in China to ensure our teachers are in a safe and comfortable teaching environment.

Currently Teach Away only places teachers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong with partner schools that have been screened. Usual start dates are in June and August, although from time to time other start dates may be available. Teachers should keep in mind that salaries in China are much lower than in the rest of Asia, but so is the cost of living.

BASIC BENEFITS INCLUDE

Monthly Salary              10,500-18,000RMB (approximately $1500-$2600) 

Airfare                            Roundtrip airfare included (half of fair reimbusrsed upon arrival, the other half 

                                         half at the end of contract)

Working Hours             24-30 teaching hours/week, 5 days a week

 Accommodation         Single furnished apartment provided.
