Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher

GPA: Minimum 3.0 baccalaureate GPA (exceptions may apply based on experience)

Other: English language proficiency, government-issued photo ID, brief writing sample

For International Degrees: Transcript evaluation is required for degrees from outside the U.S.

Pathway Overview

Much like the TEACH-NOW program, Moreland’s M.Ed. with teaching certificate allows you to earn a teaching credential and master’s degree within 12 months alongside a small cohort with educators from around the world.

You’ll have a live, virtual class once a week (you choose the day and time), and the rest of your work will be done on their online platform.

You’ll choose one of six specialization options for your M.Ed., depending on your interests and goals.

Choose between Moreland University’s TEACH-NOW program (9 months), the Master’s in Education with Teaching Certificate (12 months), or a standalone master’s degree with no teaching credential (12 months).

Much of your work will be asynchronous, in Moreland’s online platform, but
you will also have a live, virtual class once a week.

You choose the day and time of your virtual class.

Clinical learning (student teaching) is included in the program.

If you’re already
teaching in a school, you can do your student teaching in your current classroom.

If you’re not, Moreland will work with you to find a placement.

You’ll also have a dedicated
mentor and will receive test prep for your licensure exams.

Tuition for the TEACH-NOW program is $7,200 USD, but for members of the Teach Away community can benefit from discounted tuition. To support candidates, Moreland offers a 9-month interest-free payment plan, a 12-month interest-free payment plan, or financing options via Sallie Mae.

The TEACH-NOW Teacher Preparation Certificate Program provides the graduate-level coursework required for an alternative teaching certification. If you hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than education and would like to pursue a teaching certification, completing a preparation program is one of the main requirements.

After successfully completing the TEACH-NOW program, you will need to meet the additional requirements (for example, licensure exams) in the state where you are applying for certification.
