- The employer will arrange for the employee to be picked up from the airport on arrival and taken to a guest house/ service apartment where they will be put up for a maximum period of one month, during which they will have to finalise their accomodation with the help of the school authorities

Reports to: Head of Elementary School / PYP Coordinator
Scope of Work:
The Primary Years Art Teacher supports the Elementary School Principal/ PYP Coordinator in building and maintaining a high quality PYP Art programme in the school. She / He is responsible for providing an inclusive and safe learning environment for the students where the process of inquiry is encouraged. The Art Teacher will take an active lead in finding opportunities to encourage and showcase the young talents.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach practical art sessions according to PYP guidelines
- Connect art lessons and projects to Programme of Inquiry in a multi-disciplinary approach, as appropriate
- Maintain up-to-date Art Record Databases for Primary students
- Teach critical thinking skills so that students can appreciate, describe, analyze, interpret, compare and contrast works of art and design
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, especially English language learners
- Organize art room and art materials, and order art materials as needed
- Display student work in appropriate display areas, and organize annual Primary art exhibition
- Create and maintain K to G5 allocated Annual Art Budget
- Give reports to Principal and collaborate regularly with the PYP Coordinator
- Serve as a member of and collaborate with the Primary Visual and Performing Arts team
- Effectively and proactively communicate all perceived issues to students and parents regarding. Visual & Performing Arts
- Knowledge of and experience working with data to improve student-learning outcomes
- Work as an active member on the ART teaching team to realize visiting artists programme and contribute to extra-curricular activities and school visits
- Participate on trips and field experiences as necessary
- Engage in on- going professional development
