ASPV seeks two talented mathematics teachers to join our expanding STEM team. The American School of Puerto Vallarta is undergoing a dramatic transformation in terms of STEM education, with the introduction over the last few years of a new range of classes and the construction of a brand new science and technology center. A successful applicant would bring enthusiasm and expertise to this dedicated team and continue to cement ASPV's position as the leading STEM education establishment in the region.
Successful applicants will be assigned to the classes that their experience and expertise are best suited to. Middle school classes include Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and Algebra II. In the high school classes include Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus. In addition, we would consider options to teach other subjects in combination with math classes, for example, Physics or Computer Programming. In addition to the 'regular' math and science classes, STEM teachers are expected to design and deliver cross-curricular projects and participate in our extensive community service and outreach initiative that brings access to excellence in STEM Education to the wider community.
Applications for an August 2020 start are now welcomed.
