Job Description:

St Nicholas Alphaville is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced science teacher, ideally with a specialism and qualification in Physics, capable of teaching IB DP Physics, to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate would have secure pedagogical knowledge and understanding and be familiar with current educational practices and developments. They should also strive to understand the school’s beliefs about learning and promote the conditions to ignite passion within the learners.

St Nicholas School was established in 1980. The Alphaville campus is located in a semi-rural location on a purpose and modern campus. It is a vibrant, stimulating, and happy multicultural community of almost 500 students from 18 months to 16 years (eventually to 18 years), local and international families, and a highly diverse and passionate body of teachers. International students and staff form a modest and growing percentage of the school population where International-mindedness is promoted and celebrated. The St. Nicholas community is passionate about learning. We have designed an innovative, balanced, and challenging 21st-century learning experience inspired and underpinned by the International Baccalaureate PYP and Diploma Programmes. St Nicholas Alphaville is authorised to offer the IB PYP and MYP programmes, and we are in the process of the DP authorisation with our first cohort due to start in August 2024.
