BASIS International School Shenzhen opened in 2015 and was the very first school in our network. Originally located in a renovated previous structure, in 2023 the school moved into its beautiful new campus, with the ability to accommodate over 1,600 students in Grades Pre-K – 12 and state-of-the-art facilities for performing and visual arts, athletics, and sciences, in addition to stunning outdoor spaces and gardens. As a History teacher, you build upon this strong foundation, teaching students world history as a means to develop global perspectives and understand how and why historical events happened. You cover a wide variety of topics focused on the five major geographical regions of the globe, such as culture, economic systems, social structures, and major historical events. You also collaborate with fellow teachers to tie in lessons with what students are learning in other subjects, such as music and art.
