About Jeddah Private School

Jeddah Private School (JPS) is one of the oldest Saudi private schools in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Mrs. Laila Sabbah Tahlawi founded JPS Girls in 1980 and JPS Boys in 1981, as an Arabic Medium Private Day School. JPS is a unique institution that offers a dynamic combination of tradition and innovation. As a dual-language (Arabic-English) international school, JPS implements “Best Practices” as defined by educational research and theory. The School provides academic rigor in a nurturing environment and aspires to equip its students with the tools that will enable them to qualify for and excel at the finest universities throughout the world.

With over 40 years of experience, we foster family values, self-worth, citizenship, honor, and moral integrity that aligns with:

  • Islamic and Arab values and norms that promote responsible citizenship, a readiness to serve others, ethical values, and a commitment to rules and regulations.
  • Additional Arabic and Islamic Studies classes coveted by our clientele.
  • Small class sizes that accommodate one-to-one instruction (tailor-made remedial programs).
  • International acceptance of 932 male and female graduates into well-renowned universities.
  • Extracurricular programs that provide students with the opportunity to experience real–world challenges and triumphs.
  • Best student-centered educational practices, such as PBL and SDL that build students’ character.
  • Strong leadership skills that are promoted through various student body initiatives such as a very active student government.
