About Maple Leaf International School

Maple Leaf International School is a coeducational private school that accepts students from Junior Kindergarten (4 years of age) through to Grade 12 (university or college preparation). The school was established by a group of parents who wanted an alternative educational experience of the highest quality for their children in Trinidad. Maple Leaf International School follows the Ontario curriculum established by the Ontario Ministry of Education. It is one of nineteen schools in the world that provides students outside of Ontario with the opportunity to achieve an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. The school approaches education in a modern, child-centred, individual manner with smaller class sizes and strong student-teacher interaction, which allows students to take an active role in the learning process.

Our secondary academic programs are inspected annually by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Graduating students are awarded the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.) which is recognized internationally.

Maple Leaf International School is a non-profit organization, governed by a board of directors. The school is located in Petit Valley in the northwest peninsula of the island of Trinidad, near the capital city, Port of Spain.  It offers a safe and student-friendly environment with a family atmosphere.
