Job Description – Early Years Teacher

Job Title: Early years English/Arabic teacher
Reports to: Early Years Coordinator / Head of School

1. Job Purpose

To provide high‑quality care and early childhood education for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through developmentally appropriate teaching practices.

2. Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that support the developmental needs of children aged 3–6 years.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and learning styles.
• Observe, document, and assess children’s progress using appropriate assessment tools.
• Maintain updated student records and communicate progress to parents.

Curriculum & Classroom Management

• Implement and adapt the early years curriculum in alignment with school standards and best practices.
• Organize learning materials, resources, and activities that enhance hands‑on learning.
• Promote positive behavior and build strong, respectful relationships with children.

General Duties

• Ensure adherence to safeguarding and child‑protection policies.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards in the classroom.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor as needed.

4. Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in Early Childhood or relevant teaching licenses.

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience teaching in an early years or preschool environment preferred.
