Job Description

We seek a dedicated and experienced educator to lead curriculum development and implementation in our elementary department (Grades 1-4).

Curriculum Development and Oversight:

  • Collaborate with educators to design/map, implement, and evaluate curriculum that meets state and district standards. 
  • Promote the integration of innovative teaching methods and technology
  • Ensure curricular alignment across all grades within the elementary department, adapting materials to address diverse learning needs.
  • Take overall responsibility for the elementary department curriculum leadership 

Instructional Leadership/ Classroom Observations:

  • Conduct regular classroom observations to support teachers, provide feedback, and promote effective instructional strategies.
  • Provide professional leadership and management of the subject to secure high-quality teaching, the effective use of resources, and improved standards of learning and achievement for all students
  • Facilitate professional development sessions to enhance teaching practices based on observed needs and current educational research.
  • Encourage collaborative lesson planning and peer observations to build a supportive teaching community.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze student performance data, including standardized assessments, to guide instructional decisions and improve student success.
  • Work with teachers to identify at-risk students and develop targeted intervention strategies to support their academic growth.

Student and Teacher Support:

  • Create and implement systems for ongoing support and mentoring for teachers, particularly new staff.
  • Address classroom management issues and foster positive relationships among students, staff, and families to support a welcoming school environment.

School Improvement Planning:

  • Assist the Principal in developing and implementing the school improvement plan focusing on academic achievement and instructional excellence.
  • Participate in school leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
  • Ensure that quality educational programs take place in a safe, positive, and healthy learning environment.
  • Lead staff workshop, training, and curriculum-orientated professional development

Notes on Salary: 

Although the salary may seem low for a principal, the cost of living in Tripoli is incredibly low. A single individual can easily live off of $250-$400 a month in country.
