· Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons aligned to the MoE Curriculum / IGCSE /
A-Level Business specifications
· Use adaptive teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including EAL and SEND
students
· Embed Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies to monitor progress and inform teaching.
· Develop students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills
· Keeping abreast with developments in the business world and updating course content
accordingly
· Integrate real-world business contexts, case studies, and current affairs into lessons
· Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, effort, and achievement
Curriculum & Assessment
· Contribute to the design and sequencing of a coherent, knowledge-rich Business curriculum
· Develop high-quality schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
· Use data effectively to:
o Track student progress
o Identify underachievement
o Implement timely interventions
· Prepare students for external examinations (e.g. IGCSE, A-Level, BTEC if applicable)
· Ensure marking and feedback align with whole-school policy
Student Progress & Outcomes
· Set ambitious targets for all students
· Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers
· Provide regular, high-quality feedback to support improvement
· Support students in achieving outstanding academic outcomes and progression pathways
· Promote independent learning and metacognitive strategies
Pastoral Responsibilities
· Act as a Homeroom Teacher (if required), supporting students’ personal development and
wellbeing
· Build positive relationships with students based on mutual respect and high expectations
Professional Collaboration
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to:
o Share best practice
o Moderate assessment
o Develop curriculum resources
· Engage actively in departmental and whole-school CPD
· Contribute to cross-curricular initiatives, particularly in enterprise, innovation, and careers
education

· Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
