Job Description

Candidates must currently be employed in a US accredited school offering the Common Core State Standards with preference given to the New York State.  Leadership will be US citizens and mother-tongue English speakers (therefore no need to complete TOEFL as evidence of language proficiency)

Candidates must hold valid US teacher certification and/or School Leader (SBL) certification with preference given to New York State certification

Minimum 2 years of post-qualification/post-certification, relevant US teaching experience in a Common Core State Standards school (preferably in New York State)

Experience of at least 1 year in educational leadership in Common Core State Standards accredited US schools (preferably located in New York State), where the candidate has held similar positions to that sought e.g., vice Director, principal, vice principal, curriculum coordinator, head of section(s), or department chair

An advanced (post-graduate) university degree/diploma/qualification in educational matters (or the equivalent thereof), or evidence he/she is working towards obtaining such a degree from a recognised institution

Candidates must also comply with the above minimum requirements for either Elementary, Middle or High School teachers

Ignite School offers an American curriculum education from pre-K to Grade 12, leading to a High School Diploma for Emirati and expatriate students in Dubai.
