Digital technology teacher for students with complex medical, physical and learning needs - must be Arabic speaking
-Plan and communicate daily class and individual student schedules and lesson plans in advance for clear understanding among teaching assistants and clinical and therapeutic staff, ensuring awareness of students' needs throughout the day.
-Establish challenging and relevant learning objectives tailored to the diverse and complex individual needs of each student.
-Develop and implement teaching programs that promote inclusion, considering individual needs and objectives, while also identifying areas for improvement through data analysis and planning appropriate interventions.
-Demonstrate effective teaching skills resulting in student achievement against ‘SMART’ targets and IEP goals relative to their prior performance.
-Deliver engaging and motivating lessons with well-founded expectations, designed to elevate levels of attainment.
-Adapt teaching approaches creatively, ensuring flexibility and alignment with learning objectives, while providing multi-sensory opportunities tailored to individual needs.
-Foster inclusive activities and a student-centered learning environment, meeting individual needs outlined in the Education and Health Care Plan, and maintaining regular communication with parents.
-Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including parents and professionals, to create tailored IEPs addressing diverse student needs and goals.
-Work collectively to design adaptive instructional materials and strategies, fostering a sensory-friendly learning environment for students with sensitivities.
-Integrate assistive technology, therapeutic approaches, and collaborative assessment processes to ensure inclusive education, adapt teaching spaces, and promote comprehensive student well-being.
-Document and maintain comprehensive records, including assessment results, ongoing progress, observations of behaviors, interactions, and responses, as well as records of meetings, decisions, and actions from various multidisciplinary interactions, utilizing structured incident reporting for behavioral issues and logging medical and personal care incidents.
-Continuously assess student achievements and abilities, maintaining thorough records aligned with the Academy's policy, while fostering high expectations for all students and establishing respectful, trusting, and supportive relationships to help them reach their full learning potential.
-Collaborate with fellow professionals to address student needs, seeking guidance, delivering specialist programs, and providing feedback for optimal provision, while also engaging in regular self-reflection to pursue continuous improvement in practice.
-Deliver agreed-upon training aligned with experience, expertise, and qualifications, while actively participating in curriculum and grade level meetings. Take responsibility for improving teaching through professional development, contribute positively to the Academy's ethos, build effective professional relationships, provide a model of high-quality practice, consistently deliver good teaching and learning, and make a significant contribution to the Academy's improvement initiatives.
-Any other requirement of the Director, analogous to the role of a home room teacher.
