BASIS Bilingual Kindergarten Futian opened in the fall of 2024, and became the second exclusively early childhood education campus in our network. Teachers and students enjoy state-of-the-art facilities with spaces tailored specifically for the needs of young learners, including an auditorium, music studio, art studio, sand pool, sensory spaces, STEAM room, and plenty of outdoor play spaces.
The early childhood classroom is carefully designed to encourage a child's natural curiosity to create, discover, and ask questions. Our Early Childhood teachers adopt a collaborative, co-teaching approach to enhance student engagement and learning opportunities. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) and Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) partner to introduce ideas and ensure every student receives deep subject knowledge, personalized support, and appropriate engagement.
As an Early Childhood Subject Expert Teacher, you help cultivate a joyful, rigorous learning environment rich in child-initiated play that inspires students to become enthusiastic, life-long learners. About BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen
BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen is our first bilingual school in China. Opened in September 2020 in Shenzhen's Futian District for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5 students, the campus expanded in 2021 to add middle school grades and now offers courses through Grade 12, and celebrated our first graduating class in 2025.
Initially opening with state-of-the-art classrooms, multi-activity space and office facilities, in 2021 the newly completed campus added a gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, 200-meter track and soccer field, Apple computer lab, theater, and additional classrooms.
BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen combines the core of the BASIS Curriculum with much of the language, history, culture, and values of the traditional Chinese curriculum. Our multi-national team of teachers works collaboratively alongside each other to build an environment where students and faculty thrive.

Living in Shenzhen
Shenzhen is one of the fastest growing economic centers in the world, and Futian has it all on display with a beautiful, lighted skyline. About a mile from campus is Coco Park Mall with a movie theater, children's playground, and numerous international restaurants, bars and shops--such as Gap and Uniqlo.
Only approximately two miles from campus is the Shenzhen concert hall designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, which attracts musicians from around the world. Across the plaza is a huge complex housing the Shenzhen library (9 million volumes) and the mega Book City that has its own English-language bookstore. The school is also close to the Shenzhen Golf Course, the Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton Hotels, and three amusement parks.
Shenzhen shares its border with Hong Kong, and in about 15 minutes you can travel from the Futian train station to Hong Kong's West Kowloon station.
