Instituto Chapultepec is a leading all-boys school in Culiacán, Mexico, known for its strong academic culture, character formation, and a collaborative, high-performance faculty environment. Inspired by a Catholic vision of the person and guided by a relational leadership model, our mission is to educate young men of integrity, service, and intellectual curiosity.

We are currently expanding our English program and are looking to hire a native English-speaking teachers for the 2026–2027 school year.

We are seeking a certified and motivated ESL Teacher to work with high school students in Grades 9 through 12. The ideal candidate is dynamic, engaging, and student-centered, with the ability to design meaningful learning experiences that challenge and inspire adolescents. The teacher will implement active methodologies, including Project-Based Learning (PBL), to develop students’ language proficiency, critical thinking, and real-world communication skills.

Candidates with the appropriate qualifications and experience may also have the opportunity to teach additional subject areas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging ESL lessons for students in Grades 9–12
  • Create a student-centered learning environment that promotes autonomy, collaboration, and critical thinking
  • Design and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL) units connected to real-world contexts
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse proficiency levels and learning needs
  • Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative strategies
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
  • Strengthen students’ academic English skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking)
  • Integrate authentic materials and relevant topics into instruction
  • Maintain a structured, respectful, and motivating classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with Homeroom teacher regarding student progress


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, ESL, or a related field
  • Native English Speaker (Mother Tongue)
  • Valid teaching certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent preferred)
  • Experience teaching ESL at the high school level (Grades 9–12)
  • Strong understanding of student-centered teaching methodologies
  • Experience designing and implementing Project-Based Learning (PBL)
  • Additional subject-area qualifications are an asset
