We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic High School Social Sciences Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 academic year. As a member of our faculty, you will work closely with students in grades 11 and 12 to cultivate advanced critical thinking skills and deepen their understanding of human behavior, social systems, and the complexities of society.
The daily schedule is designed to include six 45-minute instructional periods, allowing teachers to meaningfully engage with students and deliver high-quality instruction. In addition to classroom teaching, educators are provided with two dedicated planning and preparation periods to support curriculum development, assessment preparation, and collaborative work with colleagues. Designated breakfast and lunch breaks are also included. This balanced and supportive schedule reflects our commitment to both instructional excellence and the professional well-being of our faculty.

Day-Star School is a private K-12 bilingual school located in Juticalpa, in the eastern part of Honduras. The school was founded in 1988. It is owned and operated by Mark and Betty Skallman, North Americans, who have lived and worked in Honduras since 1980.
The school is nationally accredited with the Honduran Ministry of Education and internationally accredited by Cognia. All classes, except for Spanish grammar, civics, and some social studies, are taught in English. The teaching staff includes both International and Honduran teachers. The student body is Honduran, whose parents live and work in the community.
