Job Description

The special needs programs are designed for students with mild to moderate Intellectual disabilities who have special educational, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. Considering these needs, the SEN program aims to provide our students with all kinds of skills to build their mentality and personality. We aim to raise an independent human who can overcome all developmental obstacles and be a productive person helping in the community.The special needs programs are designed for students with mild to moderate Intellectual disabilities who have special educational, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. Considering these needs, the SEN program aims to provide our students with all kinds of skills to build their mentality and personality. We aim to raise an independent human who can overcome all developmental obstacles and be a productive person helping in the community.

DBS-SEN teachers assess and teache English, Math, Science, Social Studeies and life skills. We follow a modified American curriculum, "Common Core state standards" for English and Math. The New Generation Science Curriculum (NGSC) and the For a Better World Social Studies Curriculum (FWSSC) for Social Studies. 

The SEN division accepts students between the ages of 6 and 17 who have been diagnosed with mild or moderate intellectual disabilities.

Additional School Requirements:

Special needs unit (for students between 6 to 17 years old):

  • Experience: at least 3 years of teaching experience for SEN or ELM age.  (Kindly note that we can accept educators who can teach the core subjects even if they don’t have SEN experience.)
  • Education: BA in Special Education or Education in general. We prefer that the candidate have behavioral management training or Applied behavior analysis certification.
  • We prefer young candidates in their 20ths.
  • Male candidates could be a better option for the targeted classes.  
  • Native Speakers are the best option.
