Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Middle School Social Studies teachers to join our dedicated team from August 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about Social Studies and is eager to contribute to the academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive Social Studies lessons to middle school students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for Social Studies and foster critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Ensuring continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Job Requirements
Successful candidates will need:
- A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent specialism in Social Studies.
- Proven experience teaching Social Studies at the middle school level, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school.
- Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on Social Studies education.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
