The Teacher of Music will be responsible for teaching Class Music to all year groups of the school and also for contributing to the overall co-curricular programme of the school. The Teacher of Music will ensure the excellent progress of all children, aiming to make the learning of Music both enjoyable and challenging.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
You should have (essential):
•a relevant Bachelor’s Degree;
•a UK Postgraduate Certificate of Education or Qualified Teacher Status;
•a minimum of two years relevant teaching experience;
•excellent working knowledge of the UK National Curriculum;
•a proven track record of effective teaching;
•a strong academic background, stature and experience that will command the respect of pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider community
•a commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of students;
•knowledge and understanding of recent educational developments and best practice;
You should have (desirable):
•an understanding of the demands of a UK independent day school environment;
•experience of curriculum development;
•experience working with children who have English as an Additional Language;
•a secure knowledge of using technology to support Education.
