Position: MYP Media & Visual Arts Teacher
Location: Qatar Academy Doha
Start Date: 01st Aug 2026
We are seeking a dedicated Media & Visual Arts Teacher to join our international school community. This role promotes creativity, technical skill development, and artistic expression while fostering visual literacy and an appreciation of art, design, and media in local and global contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Media and Visual Arts lessons aligned with the IBMYP curriculum and the school’s learning outcomes.
- Teach a broad range of traditional and contemporary art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, illustration, digital storytelling, photography, film, animation, mixed media, and emerging digital practices.
- Integrate media literacy, digital citizenship, narrative design, audio/visual communication, and contemporary digital art approaches into daily learning experiences.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Assess, document, and report on student progress using formative and summative assessment strategies.
- Support students in developing portfolios and preparing work for exhibitions, showcases, or assessments.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped arts and digital media environment, ensuring responsible use of equipment and adherence to safety procedures.
- Incorporate appropriate digital tools, software, and AI technologies into teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues within and across departments to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities and collaborative projects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years full-time teaching experience in an international school (IB experience preferred).
- 03 Years Full-Time Bachelor’s degree in Design, Education, or related field (Master’s degree desirable).
- Teaching certification required.
- Fluent English communication skills are essential.
- Arabic fluency is an added advantage.
- Strong classroom management and ability to engage diverse learners.

- Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
